Toyota Stadium
Toyota Stadium in Frisco TX is home to Major League Soccer's FC Dallas. The stadium opened on August 6, 2005 and has a capacity of over 20,000. Toyota Stadium is also used for high school football games and other events. The stadium features a retractable roof that covers the entire seating area, making it one of the only soccer-specific stadiums in the United States with this feature.
Toyota Stadium has been host to multiple international soccer matches, including World Cup qualifiers and exhibitions. In 2007, Toyota Stadium hosted the CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinal between Mexico and Guatemala. In 2011, the stadium was one of four venues in the United States that hosted matches during the FIFA Women's World Cup.
In addition to soccer, Toyota Stadium has also been used for concerts, religious services, and other sporting events. In 2009, the stadium hosted a rugby union match between the United States and Australia. In 2012, Toyota Stadium was the site of the Big 12 Championship Game between Baylor and Kansas State.
Toyota Stadium is located in Frisco, Texas, about 30 miles north of Dallas. The stadium is adjacent to FC Dallas' training facility, Toyota Soccer Center, which houses multiple fields and a training academy. The complex also includes a hotel and conference center that are used by teams that train at the facility.
